Non-accessible content, identified shortcomings
Perceivable
• Not all images have a text alternative. (WCAG 1.1.1)
• Some recorded video content lacks captions. (WCAG 1.2.2)
• The site contains video content without audio description or a media alternative such as a text version. (WCAG 1.2.3)
• On product pages, the original price of a discounted product is shown struck through without a programmatic indication that it is not the current price. This may cause confusion for screen reader users. (WCAG 1.3.1)
• Some form fields lack an autocomplete attribute. (WCAG 1.3.5)
• The contrast ratio between the text of some elements and their background is insufficient. (WCAG 1.4.3)
• Some dropdown menus cannot be closed with the Esc key. (WCAG 1.4.13)
Operable
• Some filter functionality on product category pages cannot be used with the keyboard alone. (WCAG 2.1.1)
• The front page contains automatically moving content that only pauses on focus. This can disturb screen reader users in particular, as the screen reader may repeatedly re-read the content. (WCAG 2.2.2)
• The purpose of some links is not clear from the link itself or its surrounding context. (WCAG 2.4.4)
• The keyboard focus indicator is sometimes missing entirely. (WCAG 2.4.7)
Understandable
• The online store’s ordering process has no separate confirmation step or clear opportunity to review and approve the entered information before submitting the order. (WCAG 3.3.4)
Robust
• Some status messages are not clearly announced to screen reader users. (WCAG 4.1.3)
