Yrjö Kukkapuro became interested in computer-aided woodworking in the early 2000s. He saw the cutting of mass-produced shapes as similar to the process that took place at tailoring table of his mother. Patterns are composed precisely, without causing waste. In addition, Kukkapuro was inspired by the unlimited artistic possibilities of cnc milling, to be able to create any kind of shape in serial production, even “squirrel-shaped”.
