The visual appearance of the CNC chair collection is a continuation of Yrjö Kukkapuro’s postmodern 80s thinking, where aesthetics and ergonomics meet. The CNC series was designed in 2012, with the aim of combining ergonomics and artistry. The products are lightweight and are made of laminate-surfaced Finnish birch plywood. Yrjö Kukkapuro, 2012

The CNC-1 chair is now made in Finland! We have updated the chair’s frame by raising it by 2 cm, owing to the increase in people’s average height over the decades. At the same time, the cushions have been made 1.5 cm thicker. Otherwise, the chair follows the original drawings.
