The visual appearance of the CNC chair collection continues Yrjö Kukkapuro’s postmodern thinking of the 1980s, in which aesthetics and ergonomics meet. The CNC series was designed in 2012 with the aim of combining ergonomics and artistry. The products are lightweight and are made of laminate-surfaced Finnish birch plywood. The product is a prototype. The variations in the colour tone of the plywood (dark spots) and the position of the upholstery seam do not fully correspond to current production. The product has no warranty and no right of exchange or return.

The CNC-1 chair is now made in Finland! We have updated the chair’s frame by raising it by 2 cm, owing to the increase in people’s average height over the decades. At the same time, the cushions have been made 1.5 cm thicker. Otherwise the chair follows the original drawings.
