Description
Yrjö Kukkapuro’s recognisable design language is completed by the visible role of the screws that hold the components together. The black, minimalistic metal frame holds the decorative lamp firmly in place.
This lamp, originally designed by Yrjö Kukkapuro in 1968 for his experimental studio house, was born out of a genuine need when the ceiling sockets were accidentally left out. It reached its final commercial form as the colours and forms of the 1980s postmodern wave flooded into design. This is the first time that Perhonen is manufactured by Innolux.
