The Salama Table Lamp immediately draws light and colour into a dialogue; there is clarity and playfulness in its vivacity. Colour elements that make use of basic geometric shapes and the breaking of them are cut naturally from plexiglass, which, as a translucent material, offers an imaginative colour palette. Yrjö Kukkapuro’s recognisable form language is completed by the visible role of the screws that act as fasteners for the components. A minimalist black metal frame sets the decorative lamp firmly in place.

The striking update is a serial expression, characteristic of Kukkapuro, of the previously launched Perhonen table lamp. The colourful, postmodern composition of the Salama Table Lamp and the rich form language of its reflector inspire with their aesthetic. Salama is now in production at Innolux for the first time.
