Moomin Chair Small is a colourful and cheerful children’s Moomin chair for friends of the Moomins. The chair, designed by Yrjö Kukkapuro, features the Moomin illustration familiar from Tove Jansson’s Moomin book “The Book about Moomin, Mymble and Little My”, printed on both sides of the chair’s backrest and on the seat.
The high-quality and timeless chair is best suited to children aged 2-7. An adult can also fit in the chair, for example to read a bedtime story.
The chair is part of the Moomin Furniture collection, designed by Modeo and Studio Kukkapuro. The material of the chair is certified birch plywood, which according to Yrjö Kukkapuro is “the most lovable material in the world”. The surface of the plywood is laminated and withstands wear well. The chair is made in Finland and has been awarded the Finnish Key Flag certificate and the Design from Finland mark.
The Moomin chair is intended for all kinds of sitting, and the ergonomics of the chair have been adapted with working, crafts and dining in mind. The seat angle of the chair is very comfortable, stable and safe. The laminated plywood surface of the chair is pleasant and does not, for example, become statically charged in centrally heated conditions.
The chair’s durable laminate coating stays clean with basic cleaning. Use ordinary household cleaning sprays or a damp cloth for cleaning. The chair withstands use even under a canopy on a balcony, but not in direct rain. If necessary, the surfaces of the chair can be cleaned with a liquid abrasive cleaner, for example when crayon marks appear on the surface.
The product packaging is portable and compact. Package dimensions: height 49 cm, width 67 cm and depth 14 cm. The product is easy to assemble and disassemble yourself. The product is delivered in parts and comes with assembly instructions.
